The Market was originally a tractor shed on the Summerfield Farms property. As the farm grew, the owner decided to turn it into a local market, where people could buy the farm’s sustainably-raised produce, 100% Grass Fed Beef and pasture-raised eggs – plus certain other hand-selected local, organic, sustainable and artisan wares.
Christi Spangle’s love for home grown, organic and wholesome foods made this project a natural for Barbour Spangle, and we worked closely with the owner, the farm manager, the marketing team and executive director to create a concept that would communicate the honest, wellness-focused character of Summerfield Farms. In addition to its retail success, the Market has become a favorite local hangout, a venue for meetings and classes, and an asset to the community.
