Inspiration is a funny thing and we all draw it from so many different places. As an interior designer one would think that I draw my inspiration from interiors…well not really!
My inspiration and my passion for my work and life comes from the outdoors. A bountiful garden inspires me to imagine a beautiful kitchen where I serve delicious and healthy foods to my friends and family.
An evening by an open fire inspires me to create an outside living space that pales in comparison to an indoor family room.
The sunrise and sunset inspire me to create an environment filled with open light and windows that can turn this daily event into something special we look forward to each and every day. The green grass pasture at the farm inspires me to bring the natural colors from nature indoors.
The roughhewn timber that have erected a 100 year old barn inspire me to use natural elements in interiors to remind us of the nostalgia of the past.
My animals bring love and joy to me which inspires me to treat people unconditionally. And spending the day at a horse show or ball game with my children or fishing with my hubs also inspire me to be the best I can be.
