Welcome to Week 1 of the Fall 2020 One Room Challenge. We are so excited to bring you on this 6 week journey and give you a glimpse into our design process. This year is going to be different from the previous years because, much like the rest of the world, we are going virtual.
We are coming into the homestretch of our One Room Challenge Master Suite renovation for Rhett and Lauren at Smith Mountain Lake! It’s been a fun journey (because design really is a journey, not just a destination) and the site visits haven’t been too bad either!
Welcome back everyone! Wow what a whirl #HPMKT was! We had so. much. fun. It was nice to finally be at a tradeshow again, connecting with our industry friends and seeing fresh new products. The slower pace was actually refreshing as it allowed us time to really have meaningful conversations with reps, vendors and other designers.
Things are moving along nicely with our ORC Mothman Prophecies Project! Rhett and Lauren are excited about the direction their new lake house master suite is taking; dark, moody and luxury boutique in feel – a nice departure from their light and bright master suite at home. We’re excited too! Being able to share the process with you, our readers, and showcasing how nature inspires design. This week we are headed to High Point Market (which lucky for us is literally right in our backyard)
We have spent the last week celebrating all our ORC designer friends and the creative room concepts they have come up with! If you haven’t done so already, be sure to check them out. Meanwhile, we have jumped head first in the design discovery process for our dear clients Rhett and Lauren, their family, and their new lake home.
