HIGH POINT UNIVERSITY
CENTENNIAL SQUARE II CLUBHOUSE
In one building, High Point University challenged us to create both a fun, stimulating environment for swimming and working out downstairs, and a calm, quiet environment for studying upstairs. To communicate the difference in mood (and expected behavior) between the spaces, we developed a language of visual cues. Downstairs has the playful, gritty vibe of a Crossfit gym. Upstairs, the same palette creates a calm, sophisticated environment. Both levels use earthy materials with modern pops of color, and big windows that bring in the light and beautiful views, so the spaces feel separate but unified. Kind of like the students who use them.
