TEEN SPACE WESLEY MEMORIAL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH
How do you create a church youth center so appealing, teens would rather meet, congregate and worship together on the church campus than hang out at the local book store or Starbucks? Our approach was to use color, clean lines, flawless connectivity, and modern, creative graphic elements. While the space’s long corridors had been a source of spatial confusion in the past, we created a welcoming atmosphere that’s easy to navigate, with a bright, fun, London Underground-inspired color coded path system. A graffiti-art mural based on the word “grace” make the space feel fresh, and independent from the rest of the church complex.
